At Long Last We're Open
On Wednesday August 25 at 11:00 a.m. we resumed regular hours. The public is welcome again.
Throughout both COVID shut-downs, our museum staff and volunteers worked diligently to restore the interior of the Polson mansion. We're pleased to show it off. The towering Colonial Revival home hasn't looked this good since it was new in 1924 — what with fresh paint throughout plus polished hinges, door knobs, switch plates, and glass.
What's missing is the torn 1970s wallpaper, chipped paint, unnecessary clutter, awful textured ceilings and gaudy track lighting. We've returned 1920s charm to our old mansion.
We hope you'll stop by Wednesday through Saturday from 11-4 or Sunday from 12-4. We'll retain that schedule through December 31st when we start a planned shut down to install new permanent exhibits before reopening again on April 2, 2022.
Double thanks for your patience and support during our long closure.
Know that Grays Harbor's history museum is now well poised to shine for decades to come.
